A closer look
Most people are not investing in crypto; they are gambling with extra math. The majority of new tokens and meme coins live or die not by technological merit but by attention waves, influencer hype, and coordinated pump and dump schemes in Telegram groups. Projects promise world changing utility while quietly reserving huge insider allocations that unlock months later, flooding the market just as retail buyers FOMO in. This does not mean every blockchain idea is a scam, but it does mean the default setting should be suspicion. If you cannot clearly explain in simple words what a token actually does and how it makes sustainable revenue beyond price going up, you are likely speculating, not investing. Only risk money you would be comfortable losing at a casino, because in many cases that is exactly where you have walked in.
