Why indigo is linked with resistance
In aura lore, colors are treated as signs of a person’s inner nature. Indigo is often associated with intuition and a search for truth, so the person described by this color is imagined as someone who notices when words and actions do not match—and is unwilling to let the mismatch pass quietly. The connection to challenging authority follows from that idea: rules and titles carry less weight than whether a decision seems honest or fair.
This is a symbolic interpretation, not a reliable way to assess someone’s character. Aura colors are part of spiritual belief, and there is no established method for measuring an indigo aura. The label is best understood as a story people use to give meaning to a temperament: skepticism becomes discernment, and confrontation becomes a defense of principle.
The virtue—and the friction
That story also captures a familiar tradeoff. Questioning a decision can expose a real mistake, especially when others would rather move on. But the same impulse can turn routine limits or misunderstandings into battles. In everyday life, the supposed “spiritual warrior” may be the person asking a company to explain a charge, then refusing to accept an answer that does not add up.
