A closer look
The worst part of tabletop deception games has always been getting murdered in round one and spending the next forty minutes scrolling on your phone. Blood on the Clocktower solved the fatal flaw of social deduction dynamics by keeping the dead aggressively involved. When a player is eliminated, they lose their specific character ability, but their ghost remains at the table. Crucially, ghosts are allowed to continue talking, lying, and eventually casting a single, game-deciding 'ghost vote' at a critical moment. This completely upends the traditional elimination meta, forcing the living to constantly negotiate with the dead to sway the final outcome.
