The tooth fairy may follow the stock market
Children are unwittingly being exposed to the extreme volatility of the S&P 500. Polling data from Delta Dental reveals that when the stock market is booming, kids get upwards of six bucks per lost molar, but the second a recession hits, that payout drops significantly. The tooth fairy is apparently heavily invested in index funds and passes her unrealized losses directly onto toddlers.
