Code obfuscation scrambles logic to confuse humans
If you don't want people stealing your brilliant intellectual property, you run it through an obfuscator. This tool intentionally destroys perfectly good logic, replacing clear variable names with random letters and scrambling the flow so it looks entirely like alien gibberish. The computer can still read it perfectly, but any human attempting to understand it will immediately get a migraine.
