Ancient Babylonians originally worshipped a giant cosmic swallow instead of the modern Pisces fish
Forget the graceful, emotional fish you deeply identify with. In the earliest versions of the zodiac, the constellation we now call Pisces was visualized as 'The Tails,' representing a giant swallow and a swallow-man. Somewhere along the historical grapevine, the bird was arbitrarily rebranded into a pair of fish because it was probably easier for ancient people to draw.
