Sri Aurobindo decided he was completely done dealing with the general public, so he walked into his bedroom, shut the door, and literally refused to come out for twenty-four uninterrupted years. He simply handed all the financial and administrative stress of running a massive international community to his partner while he stayed inside avoiding everyone.
