Interpolation forces software to guess missing visual frames

HERE’S THE INTERESTING PART

When a simulation cannot render fast enough, it violently hallucinates the missing information. Interpolation compares two distant visual frames and mathematically calculates what the intermediate frame probably looked like. This synthetic frame generation desperately smooths out low framerates by literally inventing transitional imagery out of thin air.
