Amazing Kreskin lost his own hidden performance fee

The famed mentalist Kreskin used to finish his shows by having the audience hide his paycheck, claiming he would use psychic powers to find it or forfeit his fee. In 2002, during a performance in New Zealand, his mystical abilities spectacularly failed him. He couldn't find the money, lost his entire payment, and had to rely on a pity donation from the promoter to fly home.
