Why astrologers connect Aries with the head
In astrology, the link between Aries and the head comes from an old symbolic map of the body, not from a medical finding. In the traditional zodiacal sequence, the signs are associated with body regions from top to bottom: Aries begins at the head, while later signs are linked with regions farther down. The symbolism mirrors Aries’s place at the start of the zodiac.
From body symbolism to personality
Astrologers extend that head association into metaphor. “Headstrong” can suggest initiative, forcefulness, or a tendency to charge ahead—traits often attributed to Aries. The connection is interpretive: the head is both a literal body part and a familiar image for will and leadership.
