A closer look

Perched precariously on a cliff edge overlooking Colombia's Tequendama Falls, this stunning 1920s mansion hosted the elite before the river became an open sewer and business tanked. Unsurprisingly, the abandoned gothic structure overlooking a foul-smelling abyss quickly gained a reputation for being aggressively haunted by the many people who jumped off the cliff. Now restored as a museum, tourists flock here to enjoy the stunning architecture and the lingering vibe of upper-class doom.
