Why capitals are uppercase

HERE’S THE INTERESTING PART

The terminology we use daily for typing originated from basic carpentry. Early printers had to manually assemble every single page using individual metal blocks of text. The large capital letters were stored in the top compartments of their desks, while the smaller ones sat at the bottom, creating a completely literal naming convention that survived the digital leap.
