Why you can’t see the Great Wall from space
Sorry to ruin your elementary school trivia, but looking for a gray wall against gray rocks from low Earth orbit is optically impossible. Despite being the world's most aggressive border fence, the Great Wall is simply too narrow to be visible to the human eye from space without heavy magnification. You're much more likely to spot a giant artificially lit highway than this ancient masonry.
