Anthony Kiedis wrote the lyrics to the massive hit 'Under the Bridge' about a deeply lonely, chaotic time in his life spent wandering Los Angeles. He was so embarrassed by the emotional vulnerability of the poem that he initially refused to show his bandmates. It took the producer digging through his notebook to force him to sing the track that made them superstars.
