While you're struggling to leave your heated car in the winter, the Nenets are packing up their entire lives onto wooden sleds in minus-fifty-degree blizzards. Living at the literal edge of the world in northwestern Siberia, these nomads migrate their ten-thousand-head reindeer herds across the frozen Ob River every single winter. To survive weather that would instantly kill a normal tourist, they live in portable chums (tents) and consume raw reindeer meat for vital vitamins, making this the most hardcore camping trip imaginable.
