A closer look
Welcome to the 'Zone of Death,' a 50-square-mile sliver of Yellowstone National Park located in Idaho. Because the park is strictly federal jurisdiction, the Constitution mandates a jury must be formed from residents of both the state and the district where the crime occurred. Since absolutely nobody lives in this specific Idaho stretch, forming a legal jury is mathematically impossible, effectively creating a terrifying geographic glitch where murder could, theoretically, be unprosecutable.
