Palm readers often gasp when they see a letter 'M' formed by the major lines on a client's hand, declaring it the ultimate mark of an old soul or master of intuition. Unfortunately for your main character syndrome, the intersection of the heart, head, and life lines naturally forms an M on millions of average, completely un-magical hands across the globe.
