Woodstock looks like a quaint backyard barbecue compared to this. On New Year's Eve in 1994, the legendary Brazilian beach was absolutely swarmed by millions of people desperate to hear an aging British rocker sing 'Maggie May'. It remains the largest free rock concert in human history, mostly because turning away a crowd the size of Uruguay was logistically impossible.
