Your camera can see infrared—so it has to be blinded

HERE’S THE INTERESTING PART

The sensors inside digital cameras are fully capable of perceiving light spectrums that are entirely invisible to human eyes. Manufacturers actually have to install an internal filter specifically to blind the camera to infrared, otherwise your regular vacation photos would look completely deranged and surreal. You can point a remote control at a lens and freely watch the invisible beam flash.
