While most studios fiercely demand intensely polished, massive scripts before aggressively greenlighting a project, a massive found-footage hit completely ignored the rules. The entire foundational document was merely a loosely structured, thirty-five-page concept outline filled with vague terrifying scenarios. The creators essentially just dumped exhausted people into the terrifying woods and told them to simply improvise sheer absolute panic on camera.
