Godfather director Francis Ford Coppola found a random stray cat wandering around the Paramount lot and shoved it into Marlon Brando's arms right before filming the opening scene. The cat purred so loudly into Brando's microphone during the take that the audio team had to heavily dub over his dialogue in post-production just so audiences could hear him speak.
