A closer look

Kombucha has been consumed for centuries and was originally celebrated in ancient China as a mystical elixir of immortality that balances your life force energy. This supposedly magical life-extending potion is literally just a gelatinous disk of symbiotic bacteria and yeast rapidly fermenting in a jar of sweet tea. Modern wellness influencers have entirely adopted this ancient mysticism, paying absurd amounts of money for a drink that essentially tastes like heavily carbonated vinegar. Thousands of years later, we are still aggressively consuming fermented slime because somebody promised it would magically cure our digestive issues and align our chakras. The human desire to live forever is so incredibly strong that we will happily drink something that looks like it belongs in a biological waste bin
