HERE’S THE INTERESTING PART

Jumping from the extreme upper atmosphere completely breaks the standard rules of falling. Without thick lower air to cause early drag, falling bodies aggressively accelerate until they physically breach the sound barrier. It is the only scenario where falling completely unassisted generates a localized sonic boom.
