Why the Apple logo has a bite
The multi-trillion-dollar iconic silhouette wasn't born out of some deep biblical metaphor about the tree of knowledge. Rob Janoff, the designer of the Apple logo, added the literal bite mark purely for scale. He was terrified that without it, consumers would look at his minimalist masterpiece and assume the company was selling little cherry computers.
