A closer look

Nobody in their right mind seeks out tropical monsoons, unless they are heading to the high-altitude plantations of Munnar. When the deluge hits, the rolling tea-covered hills erupt into a painfully vibrant shade of green, shrouded in heavy mist and spontaneous waterfalls. It is a gloriously damp pilgrimage where you can sip freshly brewed orthodox tea while watching the sky violently dump oceans of water onto the valleys below.
