The one letter missing from the periodic table

The alphabet gets plenty of representation in chemistry, but one letter was brutally ostracized from the club. You can find unusual letters like Z (Zinc) and X (Xenon), and even Q makes an appearance if you count placeholder names for undiscovered elements like Ununquadium. But the letter J? It is absolutely nowhere to be found. Mendeleev clearly held some sort of unaddressed grudge.
