A closer look
An eight-foot-tall bright yellow apex predator wandering the streets of New York should be a horror concept. Jim Henson and Kermit Love specifically designed the Sesame Street mascot to counteract his intimidating sheer scale. By giving him an oversized, slightly heavy head that naturally tilts down, uncoordinated limbs, and a deliberately waddling gait, they subconsciously communicated to toddlers that this towering avian giant was clumsy, innocent, and perfectly safe to approach.
