Humans are covered in as many hair follicles as chimps
You might mock your hairy ancestors, but the joke is on your own genetic code. Humans have roughly five million hair follicles across their bodies, which is virtually the same density as our primate cousins. The only difference is that evolutionary climate control forced most of our body hair to become translucent and microscopic, known as vellus hair. You are still an ape; you are just an invisible one.
