A closer look
Commercial airplanes do not actively dump human waste out of the sky mid-flight, despite the persistent urban legends and occasional terrifying news reports about frozen blue matter crashing through residential roofs. Aircraft use a closed vacuum system that sucks everything into a massive holding tank, which is then manually emptied by ground crew members who arguably have the worst jobs in the entire aviation industry. However, valves can occasionally leak, allowing a mixture of sewage and blue deodorizing liquid to seep out, freeze at high altitudes, and eventually break off as the plane descends. So while the pilot is not intentionally targeting your neighborhood with biological warfare, the universe might still decide to bless your patio with a twenty-pound block of toxic blue ice, serving as a chilling reminder that gravity always wins
