Why Bethesda is called Bethesda
It takes true geographical pride to name a purveyor of apocalyptic wastelands after a pleasant census-designated place. Christopher Weaver founded the company in Bethesda, Maryland, before eventually moving operations to Rockville. Despite the relocation, they kept the original name. Changing it to Rockville Softworks just wouldn't have the same ring when your digital horses start clipping through the terrain.
