Paul Dirac was an absolute genius of quantum mechanics, but a total nightmare at dinner parties. He was famously so incredibly introverted that his colleagues at Cambridge invented a new unit of measurement called a 'dirac', defined as speaking exactly one word per hour. He literally sat in absolute, uncomfortable silence unless directly forced to speak.
