When desperate, police will happily rely on completely untrained animals to solve massive crimes. Authorities imported highly praised tracking dogs to sniff out a notorious slasher in London, but the dogs were entirely distracted, bit a commissioner, and absolutely refused to track anything useful. The experiment was quickly and quietly abandoned in massive shame.
