The father of evolution dedicated immense energy to extremely ridiculous backyard experiments. Desperate to heavily test the sensory capabilities of tiny earthworms, Darwin placed them on flat wooden tables and aggressively blasted a brass bassoon directly at them. He concluded that they were completely deaf, much to the total relief of the bewildered creatures.
