A closer look
Electronic waste is an absolute nightmare, so Stanford researchers decided to just let your body chemistry destroy their hard work. They engineered sophisticated, ultra-thin wearable medical sensors entirely out of specialized polymers and conductive iron traces. Once these biosensors finish silently tracking your heart rate and blood flow, they are specifically designed to be highly unstable in organic fluids. Expose them to a weak acid like human sweat, and the entire high-tech apparatus violently degrades into completely harmless mush.
