Unlike brown eyes which get their color from heavy melanin, green eyes actually contain a yellowish pigment called lipochrome that plays optical illusions with incoming light to appear green. This means the rarest physical trait a human can possess is basically just a microscopic party trick involving light refraction, giving a tiny fraction of the population an incredibly exotic feature that they will inevitably hide behind cheap sunglasses for most of the summer anyway
