Spiders can sail through the sky on threads of silk

HERE’S THE INTERESTING PART

Because possessing eight legs and venom wasn't quite terrifying enough, they also naturally harness electricity to conquer the sky. Spiders perform 'ballooning' by shooting tiny strands of silk upward into the atmosphere. The silk catches the invisible electrostatic forces naturally present in the Earth's electrical field, easily levitating the spider and hurling it thousands of miles away.
