A closer look

Sometimes artistic incompetence is the best career move you can make. Maurice Sendak originally pitched his famous picture book as 'Where the Wild Horses Are.' There was just one massive problem: he was absolutely terrible at drawing horses. After repeatedly failing to make the majestic creatures look anatomically correct, he simply gave up, drew bizarre blob-like monsters instead, and changed the title. His laziness spawned a beloved classic.
