A closer look
You would think a simple map zooming in and out would suffice for a fantasy intro, but the designers at Elastic took it to a completely unhinged level of mechanical detail. They constructed a digital diorama powered by simulated internal gears that actually rotated like a massive, logic-bound clock. Depending on who was conquering or burning down a castle that week, the title sequence would subtly shift its mechanical architecture. Millions of viewers completely missed the fact that the opening credits were secretly spoiling the episode's plot every single Sunday.
