Thelma Howard worked as the live-in housekeeper and cook for the Disney family for over three decades. For holidays and birthdays, Walt would frequently gift her shares of Disney stock instead of normal bonuses. She simply tossed the stock certificates into a vault and forgot about them. By the time she died in 1994, those casual holiday bonuses had ballooned into a staggering nine million dollar fortune.
