Since dumping lethal asbestos on talent is no longer socially acceptable, modern productions had to find a greener alternative. Today, the majestic winter wonderlands are essentially just huge piles of shredded, recycled paper. It looks gorgeous on film, but walking through it feels exactly like trekking through a damp, soggy papier-mâché art project.
