For over a decade and a half, the small Alaskan town of Talkeetna proudly boasted a yellow tabby cat named Stubbs as their honorary mayor. He 'worked' out of a general store, accepted bribes in the form of catnip, and had an approval rating human politicians could only aggressively dream of. Truly, a purr-fect example of civic duty.
