Art imitates life, especially the pathetic parts. In a famous South Park episode, the boys spend weeks killing low-level boars in World of Warcraft just to level up safely. Blizzard thought this was so hilariously accurate to the psychotic behavior of hardcore MMO grinders that they actually added an achievement for doing it in the real game.
