A closer look

Boulders Beach in Cape Town is one of the only places on Earth where tourists can sunbathe on pristine white sand directly next to a massive, thriving colony of wild African penguins. These adorable little birds are notoriously loud, emitting a deafening, donkey-like braying noise, and they possess incredibly sharp beaks that will absolutely draw blood if you try to pet them. Despite the warning signs, foolish vacationers constantly attempt to take close-up selfies with the flightless birds, quickly learning that wild nature does not actually care about your social media aesthetic. It is undeniably hilarious to watch an entitled traveler get violently chased into the freezing ocean by an angry bird wearing a tuxedo just because they ignored basic wildlife etiquette
