The studio was desperate, having already been rejected by Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester Stallone, Clint Eastwood, and legally, Frank Sinatra. Willis was basically the bottom of the barrel, proving that sometimes being everyone's last resort is the best career move you can make.
