Beavers don't suffer from bad hygiene; they suffer from extreme dental metallurgy. Chewing through solid oak trees all day would shatter regular calcium-based teeth, so evolution decided to lace beaver enamel with iron. This biological reinforcement makes their incisors incredibly strong, highly resistant to acidic decay, and permanently rusted to a garish neon orange that would make human dentists scream in absolute terror.
