Electronics stores love to guilt customers into buying massively overpriced video cables plated in exotic metals. Since the signal is entirely digital, it either perfectly arrives at the television or it completely fails altogether. A cheap dollar-store cord transmits exactly the same flawless zeroes and ones as a cable that costs substantially more than your monthly groceries.
