In Japan, pushing a broken car drunk can count as drunk driving

Japan's zero-tolerance policy on drinking and driving is so extreme it defies basic physics. If your car breaks down and you try to physically push it to the side of the road after having a few beers, you are legally operating the vehicle. Your attempt at being a responsible, slightly tipsy pedestrian will result in the exact same handcuffs as a drunk street racer.
