Some movie boulders can bounce

Watching a heroic character effortlessly hoist a massive boulder over their head is slightly less impressive when you know the rock is squishy. Heavy-looking set stones are almost exclusively carved from dense polyurethane foam and covered in a hard-coat shell. If the actor accidentally drops it on their foot, it just harmlessly bounces away like a sad, gray basketball.
