Being the first President to have electricity installed in the White House sounds like a flex, until you realize he was utterly petrified of it. Benjamin Harrison and his wife were fully convinced that touching the completely newfangled light switches would instantly electrocute them to death. Consequently, they often slept with all the glaring lights on or forced highly annoyed servants to push the buttons.
