The biological barriers to cloning a human being were solved years ago, but an absolute global embargo is the only thing keeping laboratories from printing people. Scientists can easily swap the nucleus of an adult human cell into a hollowed-out egg, meaning identical copies of historical figures or lost loved ones are biologically possible right now. We are playing god on a knife's edge.
